Valve Cover paint help....
hey whats up guys...yesterday i was painting me and my fridns valve covers... mine came out fine but his was not what we expected....at the beginning his valve cover already was painted black (i think that might have been the problem becasue it didn;t look like the paint was sticking)..his vlave was black and the paint was chipping and he wanted to piant it blue(don't ask me why)....any suggestionS????
Tape it back out and try sanding all the places where the paint is chipping off. Start with a smooth grit sand paper like 1500 or so. That way you won't leave scratches on it. Once you get it smooth around the chipped places to your liking, Prime it and repaint. Try to find some high temp. primer and paint. Do light coats until you get good coverage. There should be a DIY in this. Welcome to HCF. Good luck.
