Default 2000 Civic LX Radio & Speaker help

My wife has a 2000 Civic LX sedan and her CD player just stopped working. Also, as I was listening to her radio I notcied her passanger rear and passanger front speakers are blown and making a buzzing sound.

So first, and probably the easy question.. Do I need a special tool to get the doors off to replace the front speakers?

Second question: How do I get the radio out? I have done it before on my old Cutless, but this is a bit different.

Third question: Is it worth just spending the $120 for someone else to do it?

Thanks in advance!

The radios in the EK are not well known for dependability. TO remove the speakers, all you have to do is pop the grill out. Nothing more!

Also, the radio removal, look in this section and you will find out how to remove it. Its easy.

If you're going to buy a new cd player, get if from Circuit City, and they'll do the installation for free, minus the conversion harnesses, ect. that you need. That's what I did. The door speakers just pop off, I used a small screwdriver.
