amp wiring
ORIGINAL: Carlz0r
It creates interference which makes your sound quality go down and will make the speakers buzz when no music is playing.

oooh yea, i think there was a question posted on here about somebodies speakers buzzing and this was actaully the problem (wires too close).
So try running speaker wires down one side and the amp power down the other aight?
I am going with seperate. I run all mine seperate. The power wires will tend to give you that ground loop noise type buzzing and or popping in your amp, you name it, its just a risk you take when you run them together, but if you have quality cables that are super shielded, you can probably run them together. Just remember that if the noises start, you know where to look for the fix.
yeah, i think what i'm going to try to do is run the power down the middle (to the right of the shifter) and see if i can run the wire up through the back seat, and then have the speaker wires going down the sides. Thats my ideal layout, but who knows how it will turn out.
I have my 0 gauge power wire going down the right side, my rca interconnects going down the left side, and my speaker wire for my front speakers going down the center, then at the bottom of the dash going to each door. Keeps it a good 7" or more away from the power wire at all times.
yeah, everythings put in and it sounds pretty good minus the buzzing, can't really tell and the power wire is about 1 or more feet away from the speaker wire at all times, minus when it gets up to the amp... that must be the problem, gunna try and re organize the wires tommorow.
