Default Anyone ever done 8" midbasses in the doors? 6th Generation

After things going to crap with my vehicle, it looks like my fiancée and I will be sharing her 1999 Civic. It has had just a basic JVC and Pioneer A-series coaxials for a number of years. I am tired of dealing with the lack of bass / higher-end sound. Years ago I bought Dayton Loudspeaker RS225-4 woofers and Seas 27TBC/GTV aluminum/magnesium tweeters.

The plan is to chop off the pockets in the doors, reinforce the door panels, install some MDF rings so that the tweeters would be all the way forward (in a cross-firing pattern), and glass some sealed enclosures onto the panels.

They would be powered by an old-school Rockford Fosgate Power 800a4 being fed by my Clarion with active 3-way crossover, time-alignment, and EQ. At this point I cannot imagine needing a subwoofer with that much power up front.

I've never seen them done in the pocket area, but I have seen someone add speakers to that flat area towards the back of the door. (This was on a sedan though.)

newer jeeps come with 8" mid bass speakers in the doors. Ridiculous bass for no subs. Cool idea, but i would put them in the rear where they fit better.

Why would you essentially suggest having the tweeters in the front and midwoofers in the rear? That's not creating a realistic soundstage.

just due to the fact that 8" speakers fit the sub bass category better than midbass. as well as seeing a 8" woofer in the door would look out of place.
