Default dual voice coil help??

I had a 10"rockford fosgate P210s4, single voice coil. I blew it! Fortunately i had a warranty and the shop replaced it on the spot and the rep at the store (who as it turns out was a friend from school) gave me a P210d4 instead of theP210s4 as i had. The new sub has dual 4-ohm voice coils and when wired in parallel give a load of 2 ohms. My amp which is a Pioneer GM-5100T can supply:

360 x 1 at 4ohms bridged: which is of no use to me since the sub is loaded at 2ohms. This is what i had before and it seriously thumped with the single voice coil.
125 x 2 (4ohms): i could wire each voice coil independent for a max of 250w total, which is less than i had before but what choice do i have. is this safe though?
190 x 2 (2ohms): I am using one of these channels now and its quiet compared to my SVC, so this wont do.

i like the new sub cause its new for 2007 but do i have to buy a new amp? anyone have any suggestions? thanks in advance,

chris

You don't have to but that amp isn't stable @ 2ohms. Try it at 8.

thanks, i tried it at 2ohms and it cut out so i realize it aint stable at 2ohms but if it were man would it ever bump, just a little volume and the thing would have shook the block. I tried at 8 and i got nuthin. think i'm gonna try and xchange it for the 2 x 2ohm sub that way i can power each coil independently at 2ohms and get 190w x 2 giving a total of 380watts like i had before. is it ok to power each coil independently from the same amp?

just series your coils if you get a dual 2, then you'll have a 4 ohm load.........take the positive from coil 1 and hook it up to the negative of coil 2 , then the positive of coil 2 goes to the positive output of your amp, and the negative from coil 1 goes to the neative output of your amp. then your mass bumpin again
