out of curiosity and 500 bucks what kind of a reliable/good setup can i get...and w/ like good name brands?

 

well i think you should just go on ebay and you could get a good used set up for the price of a new cheap *** set up...dont be tempted to waste your money on like pyramid and cheap crap like that, if your on a budget try to find some nice used equipment. thats my opinion...

 

you can always go apply for like a best buy card and prolly get a 1,000 credit limit then just pay off the bill over time.thats what i did

 

What are you trying to get with the 500? Deck? Amp? Subs? Box? Highs?

WHat do you already have?

 

i dont have anything except 4 a factory head unit and a 6disc shuttle lead in the trunk(no shuttle...just the wire for it)...and i do have the money to afford a $1000 system i just dont want to spend that much and possibly getting jacked...

 

Look around your local shops. They normally will have a sub and amp deal for yay.... $300-$400

 

i guess it just all depended if you wanted a sub and amp and headunit. you can get a good set of speakers ( front and rear ) on ebay for probably 150-200....and then i guess depending on whatever else you want...it can be done, but installation will KILL you.
