whats a good light sub and box config that wont be heavy as hell

the lighter it is chances are the less good it will sound, most good subs are pretty heavy. But one thing you could do is put it in the floor like this guide shows

wouldnt have to worry about moving the sub and box around really with it like that, not a good idea if you use your trunk a lot though.

the problem with the guide is you have to have the right box volume for the sub you buy. I didn't read it but it didn't even look like they enclosed the box? definitly want to make it enclosed to get the best sound quality, that or ported.

I'd go for a kicker L5, 10" sub... my neighbor has one and i was impressed with it, being so small. not sure of how heavy it actually is though.

Stick to one sub and it wont be too heavy. I have a single 12 inch infinity kappa perfect in my trunk. It sounds good, has the ability to knock hard, and I built a box to the specs of the woofer. Building your own box is easy, and saves money.
