Guys, I just got my ipod interface and I was about to install it but I couldn't figure out how to pull out the OEM stereo. I looked under, over, on the glove box... There seems to be no way to take the front console out. I need to pull out the stereo to plug in the ipod interface. Mine is a 2005 honda civic LX sedan. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

 

Finally I was able to install the ipod interface that i got. So far it worked perfect and 100x better than fm transmitters. I recommend getting ipod intefaces than using fm transmitters. I'd like to mention this website, I'm so grateful to have found it otherwise i won't be able to install it. This is what helped me take out the console for my civic. I hope some other people would find information in this website useful as well.

wait.. interface.. as in the cd player with the "aux in" plug? and u attach the ipod wit a cord..

 

yes. you plug in the device to the CD changer port at the back then attach your ipod to the device. it works like magic.

 

how much was your ipod thing? about $40? i want to get one

 

i got it off from ebay? it's called buslink dj ipod honda interface. i got it for less than 50$ shipped. search for "ipod honda" in ebay and it should give you a lot ot it goodluck.
