????? the 400 watt amps specs are [*]400 Watts Max Output Power[*]2 OHM Stable & TRI-MODE Connection Possible[*]2 Channel 2 OHM Stable Multi-Channel Circuit Design[*]Thermal / Short-Circuit / Overloading Protection[*]High Efficiency MOSFET Power Supply[*]Variable Bass Booster[*]RCA Inputs & Speaker Terminals[*]Power On & Protection Led Indicators

all i wanna know is if this amp is decent for the speakers and how you exactly hook it up.... and if this second amp gets pluged into the line out spot on the current amp in my car...??? thanx

So your hooking the amp up to your "factory" speakers? Or some subs?

I still haven't figured that out.

Some amps offer an additional Line Out, but usualy its not speaker level, it's RCA terminals, so you will have 1 set of inputs, 1 set of outputs. If you are running a 2nd amp to your high's, you would hook that amp's input to the other amp's output yes. That much I know.

Are you just connecting some components, or front/rear speakers, 2, all 4, which combo?

1) You'll run power and ground to the new amp.Instead of running anotherbig power cable from thebattery back to the new amp (its like this with the old amp right?), you can gettwodistribution blocksthat will take your originalpower wire and the ground wire and allow you to split them to go to both amps. I used one w/o a fuse for the ground wires (first link), and one with a fuse for the power wire (second link).

You should mount the dist blocks close to the amp like I did in my stang as pictured below. Both blocks are to the left of the amp with one power and ground going to the ampmounted on the rear seat, and the other power and ground running to the basslink in the corner.

2) Run a set of rca cords from the old amp output to the new amp input. Don't run the rca cable too close or cross the power wire to keep the noise away. Also, you don't need a 20ft cord if you only have to run it 2 ft so you can a enough for a pizza by buying onlythe size you need.

3) Run speaker wires from the new amp to the front speakers. You can splice into the original speaker wires up front (maybe under the dash?), but why go that far only to do a hack job? I recommend running the new wires straight into the doors directly to the speakers and just unplugging the original speaker connectors and let them fall in the doors incase you want to put everything back to stock.

4) Replace the fuse in the power wire up (by the battery in your car probably) with one that equals that of the total of the fuses on both amps. Some say this isn't required, what why not be safe for an extra $2?

5) Enjoy.

The dist blocks and extra wires can be had cheap for no-name stuff from ebay or other online places. Or you can get good quality stuff from places like davex.com which I have used a lot in the past. KnuKonceptz has good amp wiring kits and speaker wire on ebay for a good price, not sure about dist blocks. Give us a budget and exacly the name and models of your amps and we can link you to the right size cables and other gear. Buy the way, this stuff will cost you a small fortune if you get it at best buy or circut city so be forewarned.

Keep on rockin!

It sucks running wires, and even more trying to route it through stuff like doors.

I am having issues myself running wiring through my factory door pathways, they are so slim, and hard to get to, it's hard to find the right way to do it.

However for adding aftermarket amps, it's best to run new wiring to the actual speakers. You wouldn't wnat to run the amp's speaker leads to your car's factory leads and then let that take the power through the doors. It is possible to do it that way, but I think in the long run, you will be risking alot trusting the factory wiring to the higher power output of the amp.
