forget it.. i learned everything i really needed to kno.. except what are capacitors for? lol

 

capacitors store a charge. when your bass hits it can draws a lot of current which can drop your voltage on your battery... capacitors help regulate a constant voltage. unless you are running a lot of watts it isnt absolutely neccesary. the amount of farad capcitor to use really depends on the amount of wattage your running

 

they are a waste of money! dont buy one! if you want to have something that will HELP steady out your voltage than buy a extra car battery to put in the trunk! just remember to buy extra fuses as well cause you need to protect the power wires! if you cheap out and the power wire shorts out and its not fused then your car WILL be turned into a fireball!!!!!!!!

 

haha ok.. so screw the capacitor cuz im not trying to invest in one.. and i dont want a car battery in my trunk.. so your saying buy good audio wires?.. that have built in fuses or whatever?.. any suggustions on to what kind of audio wire?.. and rough price estiments? thanks

 

You need to tell us what specific car so we know how many amperes the alternator puts out, and what specific amp/subs you're going to be using
