Well the biggest thing is people, theres two different types of people, 1 that enjoys music for casual listening, and the other are audiophiles. The latter critique everything about music, if your bass is too flat or not flat enough, whether your high notes shriek or are smooth. They adjust everything down to the hertz. Now 95% of people are the first type and sony and alpine and all the other lower brands are very sufficient for the price. But for the other group you can notice the difference. Have you ever heard a pair of $2000 focals???? compare them to a $150 pair of a lesser brand, and its a night and day difference.
