kill switch voltage question?

thanks i like that right up better than the one on this forum but it doesnt talk about relays?
the guy at autozone was like ugh the wire is going to melt if you dont have relays...?

I am actually considering rewiring mine to include a relay, not so much for worry of amperage, but as another layer of security. One idea I liked is wiring the relay into the radio wiring you would normally use for a power antenna or to switch on an amp (can't remember the exact name atm). If you have no face plate or the radio is turned off, no power goes to the relay, fuel pump circuit never opens up.
Just remember to be creative. A radioshack switch in between the rear seat and the side panel is posted EVERYWHERE. Something like Addictions is better. Something of your own is best.
