Having upgraded my speakers (Kappas up front and Honda Bass System in the rear), it seems the stock HU is crap afterall................so thinking of changing it out and I have questions before I plunge into that water:

--Has anyone installed the PAC (or other brand) steering wheel controls module and what specific wires do they connect to?

--Is the viewing angle acceptable with a new HU- the dash angles away (per 8thcivic.com DIY link- http://66.98.189.130/forums/showthread.php?t=3534), Real-world evaluation please, not conjecture

--Is the Metra Dask kit a quality item- see Bay link?-- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...spagenameZWDVW

--Finally, opinions on the the Alpine CDA-9857 HU as the base for all this (I want a good Ipod interface equipped HU).

I am looking for quality above all (while keeping my trunk free). FYI, I spent about 7 hours installing sound deandening material to the floor and all 4 doors- not what I hoped but an improvement for sure (eDead brand, 45 mils, double layers on drivers side)
