one of my high beams wont work

Default one of my high beams wont work

so, just bought my 98 civic ex, great condition, love it!

but, when i was driving it home i noticed when i try to turn on my high beams, only the driver side would come on, and the passenger side would completely go out.

so i bought some new bulbs, wanted to upgrade a bit anywys. got some silvania silverstars, they are great, really bright, but still, my high beam wont come on! i have voltage to all 3 wires going up to the plug, havent checked the female plug yet itself, about to go do that. think it might be corrosion?

High beam voltage comes from the Red/Blu wire in the headlight plug. Does it have voltage to body ground with the high beams on? If not, check 10A dash fuse 4.

why would only one high beam come on though? fuse is fine. no red/blue wire, two red, one black

There are 4 headlight fuses - 2 low beam and 2 high beam.


Look carefully. The red wires also have a second color stripe:

ahh way cool, im going to check it out. at the same time im having a problem like my right headlight isnt aligned right, what should i do about this, try to bend the clip back? or is the whole housing effed?
