Power Source Problem
Where is the best spot to source power from? I want to run some grill LEDs but I dont know where to draw the cuttent from. Ive heard people say under the fuse box but where? I already have under dash front and rears and a few other lights running off my cigarette lighter cable and I am worried i might overload it. Or is that not really an issue with such low power components. Any help please. Cheers
Depending on the total current draw, you should be fine "tapping" in to a power source in the fuse box. It is always advised to run a power cable directly to the battery. I hooked up some LED's a few summers back and ran a power wire all the way to the battery like a fool, but didn't have to. I'm sure that there is some rule of thumb somwhere, but I have heard of anything. Sorry, I couldn't be much help.

I don't think LED's would draw enough current to blow a fuse for your cig lighter, the max current draw is 10A, and I think LED's draw somewhere in the micro Amp range. i.e. you can run a pretty darn bright LED with a tiny watch battery.
As for the fuse panel, when I first installed my tach to test it, I had it ghetto rigged by jamming the lighting wire in with the panel lights fuse in the fuse box. Worked like a charm.
