Problem with amp.
I am having a problem with my Rockford Fosgate P1000-1Bd amp. The other day i was listening to my music as i normally do, and suddenly the subs and amp turned off. I turned everything off and still no power. Tried again a few hours later.....still nothing. what could be wrong?
does the amplifier have POWER at the input power and does it also have power at the REMOTE turn on terminal?
check your fuses, and if the PROTECTION MODE light is on the amplifier than you could have some problems! might also want to check your speaker wires. if they touch eachother they could be shorting the amplifier out puting it in protection mode.
you realy have to check it out yourself to find the problem...

What would the fuse look like if it was blown?

there should also be a fuse under the hood really close to the battery connected to the power wire. most of the time when an amp blows a fuse its usually on the power wire. if you replace the fuse and it blows again immediately you have a short somewhere. if it takes a while you probably have your subs wired wrong
