Default Reference 500

Hello all!
first I would like to say Hello to everyone, as I am new to these forums.
secondly, I would like to say I have no idea about car audio systems, and yes, I have tried to readup on them.

my question is, What is this?!

my cousin gave it to me for free, and told me it was for my car's audio system. I have tried many times to call her and ask about it, but she does not pick up her phone. I looked up "soundstream" "reference 500" and more combinations on google, but I was unable to understand still, what this is.
Is it an amp? a sub? or both? Also, I would like to know what's the overall rating of this "Reference 500" thing is. Is it amazing? is it cruddy? I have many questions, but ill keep it simple.

Thank you for your help in advance

What you have there is a highly sought after old school amp by those who are into old school car audio! It is rated for 125x2 @ 4 ohms and 250x2 @ 2 ohms. Bridged into 1 channel @ 4 ohms it will deliver 500 watts, hence the name, Reference 500. Of course, the majority of the Soundstream amps are under rated, which means your power output will be HIGHER than the numbers I gave you!

PM me your email address if you need the owner's manual.

ETA: If you want to sell it, PM me a price!
