i want to place an aftermarket cd player in my spot where my casset player is... its a 98 civic ex coupe and keep my stock radio in the dash....would that work?

 

It will fit there with little to no modifications. They even make a harness that allows you to keep your factory radio connected for keyless entry as well as running an aftermarket radio (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+70-1720t.html)

 

You can go out to best buy and get the kit for a head unit. Do it yourself or have them do it, either way it's easy and beats the heck out of the stock radio. I could have sworn in 98 the EX came with a CD player standard.
