I say 1 10 inch sub, you get a 10 inch Resonate Engeneering XXX 10 or a JL 10W7 and that is all you will want or need
+1 to that, RE all the way! or even Adire Audio Brahma, and JL is good because they make a good SQ sub and are mass production so you can get some tech help if need be, but other than that, you can get some really good stuff... if you just want a good old fashoned sub, I rocked the RF T215 for a while and really liked it...

i have two tens in my hatch and their amazing. their rockford fosgate. the good thing about them is that RF's run low wattage, but stil have the same noice level as ones of higher wattage.

+1 to Audiobahn, Kicker, and 12 inch subs. I had two kickers in my hatch awhile ago before I got tired of them powered by a kicker amp and they hit hard.

I've been told that if you listen more fast rock music (like me) then you should get 10" subs because they can hit faster.

i have listened to many different subs and most of my friends have owned them also. the best i have heard is by far the jl audio w7. whether its an 8,10, or 12. i have 2 alpine type r 12's and love them....

kickers and jl's bangg but if ur going not something on a budget, alpines are good subs too
