That may be the only thing saving your amp, the resistance of the 16 gauge wiring.

So you're sayhing I shouldn't use 12 gauge? What do you mean saving my amp? I did something wrong?

You need to reconnect the speakers (in series-parallel, not parallel-parallel like you have now) for proper impedance. Do not use the parallel - parallel connection you have, with any size wire.

16 gauge speaker wire only has a resistance of approximately 0.2 ohms over 50 feet. I would venture to guess that there is a total of 15 feet or less between the amp and the speakers.

Thats how I have it wired now (sorry about the drawing, the positive and negative wires aren't cross outside of the box). I got power to the amp, but the subs werent working? I'm trying it with a 60amp fuse since I haven't found a 100amp one yet. I''m guessing my problem is with the way I wired the speakers since the amp is on.
