Default Wiring...RCA/Power

For a '96 Civic,
I'm not sure where I should hide the RCA and the power wires for my sub. I've seen on here that its best to run the RCA cable down the driver side door and the power cable down the right. Is this correct?

But then I've also heard that you shouldn't run the wire down the right side because of the chip which can cause interference.

Which is the best way? If it's possible it would be nice to run both down the center...would be a lot easier.

I was hoping to run it on the inside of the plastic which only is about 6-8 inches in width. I guess this wouldn't be enough distance?

The only thing you're gunna get interference from is your rca's. You don't want your rca's near your power wire or you stand a good chance of gettng a lot of noise transfer from your power wire to your rca's. And that's gunna distort your subs. You could run your rca down the middle and your power wire on the passenger side if you wanted... the only thing is you're gunna have a hard time hiding it across the floor of the back seat. I would just run it under the kick panel. That's how I had mine set up and it was just fine. I had some interference in the beginning (or what I thought was interference so I switched around all my wires separated em all that jazz.. Nothin worked) but that was just because of a bad ground point.

You have like 20-1 odds of having no problems runing your wires like I explained in your other thread.. Power on passenger and rca on driver. If you do run into problems... then start worrying about rewiring but until then don't go to the trouble.

i wired mine through the center console, then took it off and cut a small hole in the carpet under the console and routed it down the carpet and under the seat. it looks clean and i dont run into any noise interference problems
