Apple again..
I have to say, Photoshop has a lot of uses other than just for editing photos. Aperture seems to be targeting the photography market, it says it right there at the top of the page, "designed for professional photographers." I don't see it edging in on Photoshop's market for illustration, web graphics, or image processing for print production.

Yes, it's true the PS issue is one of those never-ending debates (though mxs is right in saying that it can't be surpassed in its ability to do just about anything graphic-related), but you've got your facts muddled up in the whole CPU debate.
Jobs never tested a dual AMD X2 system against a dual G5, because the dual and quad-CPU motherboards weren't available yet, and the results wouldn't even be funny. That's a nice link you put up there, but it says absolutely nothing of value, except that new Macs are faster than old Macs. In reality, a top-of-the-line X2 system runs 2 or even 4 dual-core 2.8 GHz CPUs simultaneously, each with a front-side bus speed of 1.8 GHz and up to 16 GB of RAM per CPU. None of those numbers are even touchable by a PowerMac. Period
