Default Adjustable Cam Gears

I am just curious and want to know what some of your experience has been with adjustable cam gears. I am planning on doing a Mini Me and am going to be messing with the cam gears/timing belt ect. And was thinking of putting one on. But is it worth it? What exactly does it accomplish?

The motor I have is a D15B7, but want to put a D16Z6 head on it.

There is only one cam gear then. I would get one. Changing certain things like the engine's configuration, or VTEC engagement point could warrant getting one.

Actually, my distributor just went out and I need to fix it because it is at my work and my only car. So I think I am going to stay with the D15B7 head. Do you think it would be worth getting a adjustable cam gear with the D15B7 head still? Even though it is non-vtec? Thanks.

I have never worked with a B7 myself, but most SOHC D-series' make the most power where the cam sits stock if the engine is near stock form. So nah, unless you want to be a guinea pig and experiment with it, you don't need it. If you do decide to try it out, this is the only one I know of available for that head: http://bisimoto.com/wst_page16.html

A quality piece.
