Default Conversion

I've decided to skip the FI for now and work on an NA d16. I plan on starting this winter since I cant drive to college my first year, but I plan on doing a lot of internal work and I know that tuning would be a good thing. I have a tuner that is about 30 min from me and I know I need a conversion, but what do I need to convert to OBD1 and can someone tell me about chipping, well reprogramming? I know I sound like a noob but I figured you can't learn if you dont ask. Thanks!

Just be sure you get the obd2A - obd1 harness. Run a chipped p28 (you can chip it yourself, but if you're not confident, just buy one pre-chipped.), talk to your tuner and see what he tunes with, and go from there
