Default ecu confusion

i own a d16y8 and i am confused when it comes to the ecu and tuning department. ive been looking around and figured out i need to go from obd2 to obd1, is that just a wiring harness swap? and i think i need to go with the p28 is what i saw recomended, but i have no idea where to go about finding these items. ive looked around but once i get to the sites theres a lot more to finding what i need than looking for obd2 - obd1 swaps and p28 chips.

i think the chip im supposed to be looking for is P28 P61 RPT for SOHC 1.6L racing honda ECU chip but i dont know where to find the kit to do the obd2-1 swap.

and do i need to buy a new ecu? oristhe obd2 to obd1 switch just a harness? i dont understand.

any help is hugely appreciated

thx

to go from obd2 to obd1 you have to get a conversion harness and you can pick this up at rywire.com
you can also get the p28 ecu from stealth mode performance.

okfewmore questions. if i get the p28 it says its a chipped ecu, that means i dont have to put a different chip on it correct? and if i put this on my basically stock motor will i have any problems with its stock configuration or will i have to get a tune if i install it.
and finally, how much hp will this thing crank me up if im just running a testpipe, apexi ws2 exhaust, aem intake, and underdrive pulleys? thats just a curiousquestion

and i also apologize for posting this in turbo section, irealized there was fuel management section after iposted..

Sorry! but thx for the advice again

With those mild mods its not going to do you a bit of good..

Yes you would have to get it tuned for the motor as it will only come with a basemap

No you will not need to add any other chip if you buy a "chipped ecu." You will however need to get it tuned when significant changes are made to the motor
