Default help with ecu Identification

I bought a P2P ECU from a 98 a/t for my mini me swap, but now I realize that in theory I should have gotten 99-00(obd2b)

BUT the ECU I bought is labeled 98 p2p but it doesnt look like either obd2a or obd2b. It has pins for all 4 plugs, and on the inside there are wires going to all of the plugs as you can see.

Anyone know if i can just plug my 00 y7 harness into this strange 98 y8 ecu and have it work?

if the only diff between y8 and y7 is vtec, I could test it on my y7 before i swap and it should start up and run ok if the ecu is the correct one, right?
