Will a guage cluster out of a '91 Si fit in my '89 DX hatchback with no modifications needed?

I know this thread is old but I figured its better to revive it than waste server space on a new one. This wire that you talk about, the blue one with silver rings, I'm guessing is the 'signal' wire for the tach. I know the color of the wire might be different, but is this 'signal' wire present even in cars without a stock tach? I have a 95 Civic DX with no tach, so would there be a wire for me to hook a tach to?

I've got the same car, is this the best place to ****e in? I've read that you should splice in near the ECU.

you don't have to rewire anything if you're swapping clusters. 96-00 clusters are all interchangeable and the wiring is already there for you.

just plug it in like normal and your tach should work.

either that wire or in your engine bay, on the driver side, near the fender, there will be a capped blue wire, it's just sitting to the side, thats the tach feed wire, you can either splce into the wire behind the cluster like Trust said or can splice into the one i mentioned
