Ideas on ecu mods

Default Ideas on ecu mods

Hi yall, well i just fitted a performance race air cone on me Civic ESI, makes a lurrrrvurrrly sound, but is there any mods i can do the ECU that wont really break the bank.
PS, what is the measurements if i want to put alloys on , its a 93 3door 1.6..IE whats the offset and wheel nut size etc etc, ANYONE GOT SOME ALLOYS FOR SALE...?????

wheels should be a 4x100 bolt patters, with an offset close to +40mm.

As for ECU... anytime you start messing with the computer its going to be pricey. A performance filter alone wont benefit from an ECU "reboot", a full up system will run you close to a grand... and only unlock close to 10hp at most. With more mods the jump will be more worth it, but right now... not too great of an idea for the cost.

Hi there Polo708, maybe yor right, leave the ecu alone....So what can i do next then, got the performance air cone filter on, wheels in process, what about a back box for the exhaust....Dont really know where to start modding in sequence to get the best results....Wot do u suggest....

unhook the battery, then let it sit for about half an hour, hook it back up, and start it and let it idle for about 5-10 minutes w/o any load on it. it will relearn the air-fuel ratios and adjust accordingly, giving you a little bit of power and fuel economy.

check up on a header or even some suspension work. You can have all the power in the world, but if it doesnt hook then its useless.

wont make a huge difference, but it will help a little.
