idle going up and down???

Default idle going up and down???

ok after i switch the tranny from auto to 5 speed, when i started the car back, the idle goes up and down between 1500 and 900 rpm, could it be the ecu?? cuz im still running the p28 for auto

normally an idle like that is casued by a vaccuum leak.

or fitv needs adjusting, or the iacv is dirty, or a vacuum leak like stated above. ive never had problems with idle hunting with any of my 5spd conversion with auto ecu's

get urself a can of intake manifold cleaner.......spray it on the vac lines and when it sputters, youve found a leak!




(Sacicions taught me taht one)

ok i found something... i found out that the idle purge solinoid ( or how ever you spell it ) one of the hose broke off of it and took the plastic tube with it....

yea def a vacum leak and it looks lyk u found the problem. get tht fixed for sure and ur idle should b fine.

the same thing happened to me but it was jusy from my car sitting for 8 days. mine would go from 2500-1500 up and down constantly. i just had to rev it high(almost redline) and it stalled twice but fixed itself and runs perfectly.

usless^^^ but thought it might have helped
