not happening without turbo or supercharger or nitrous unless you have tons of cash to fully build your engine.

yeah its going to be 2 to 3 times more expensive then turboing your car and you could easily gain way more hp with a turbo or supercharger setup. N/A setups with the D series motor are expensive and pointless unless you have nothing else better to do with ur money and want to be unique

I'm S/C'd (among other mods) and I am probably making around 170ish. Good luck with an N/A built D16 doing that.

Why don't you want forced induction?

Well I live in so cal and I have to smog near the end of the year so turbo would just be a pain to smog with plus it's got a lot of mileage so it's basically a project to learn how to do everything and then my next car will be a serious build and I wouldlove to get to 170 na because I like a challenge but if Ima have to rebuild my internals might as well as turbo at that point I also heard civics can't handle much boost due to the aluminum blocks and I'd want like sixteen lbs at least

How do you know? Have you already decided on a hypothetical turbo? Different sized turbos make different amounts of power at the same PSI.
