Default replacement gas tank

Have had Older Honda Civic's before. Just got this 1978 Honda Civic 1200 5 speed. Body and interior in great shape. Swapped engines from another that had bad body and interior. Got engine started with a line to a bottle of fuel. I couldn't get it to run before. The fuel pump is ok. Carb and points ok. replaced fuel line and fuel filter. I finally took the tank off. fuel line into tank is so bad can't even push wire down it. My problem is where does a person get another tank. Found from Honda dealers, but they want over $400 dollars for it. Parts on the internet are no longer available. Would appreicate any info on this problem. Tom

try www.car-part.com. It is a site that has hundreds of junkyards and scrap dealers linked up. There are some SERIOUS deals on there.

Went to a Pull N Save wrecking yard. Got one that ran three months ago. Tank is in great shape and sending unit. Only cost my $8.00 What a savings! Thanks for the info guys. Tom
