For the past 2 weeks or so my "Required Service" light blinks on my dash. My car doesn't seem to be running wierd at all but this light blinks like 8 times and then goes away. Any idea's on what should be my 1st steps on fixing? I think it is Required Service, pretty much the same as "Check Engine" light on different vehicles. Its an 01 Civic EX coupe. Thanks

 

it means that your car needs serviced and then they will reset the button that turns it on

 

Required service and check engine are not the same. I think you push down the trip reset button and then turn the key in the on position to get rid of it. You should have whatever service is due performed.
