My friend just bought a 92 cx hatch with a d16y7 motor. I have a d16y8 Vtec head and we want to mini swap it? wat all do i need other than the head? and how do i go about doing it without messing it up? wat harness do i need for it as well? any help is appreciated!

isn't there a walkthough w/ pics? i remember seeing a part where they take out a jet from the block so they can run vtec, but coudn't find it again. anyone seen this ?

 

the head bolts on but you need to run an oil line to the head. then you need a computer and wire the vtec

I have done a couple of them.. theres is power diffrenceand it quicker but not by much you would run around a 16.5 to 16.3 maybe.. the swap is if you turbo is and get the max out of the combo.. but if you have no plans on a turbo.. than pick up a B18A/B it is easier and safer and faster than a mini me.. good luck
