b16a2 swap

RE: b16a2 swap
the wiring is a pain in the butt. check over the whole motor first and make sure everything is hooked up. when i did my b16, i didnt hook up the one wire temp sensor under the dizzy, and the temp gauge would peg all the way hot. i couldnt find what it was for a week. get new hoses and change the timing belt and water pump, along with the clutch and maybe the flywheel. it takes 20-30 minutes to change the timing belt and water pump when its out of the car, and 3-4 hours when its in the car. i got the belt, pump, and tensioner pulley for like 110 shipped on ebay when i did my GSR. as for the actual swap, get a non-tapered punch of the right size to get the bitch pin (aka spring pin) out of the shift linkage, then hit it with some force, no tapping that sucker out. if you have any other questions, just ask. oh yeah, i know where to find a good site with the wiring info, but i dont remember the site. ill find it and post it soon.

yea man thanks for the advice, as far as the wiring it isnt cut in half and the motor is still in the car. Im taking it out of a civic and putting it in my civic so that will make wiring a little easier and the water pump has already been replaced as well as the clutch but not the timing belt and flywheel. but thanks for all the help ill hit you up when i finish
