Welcome to the forums!

Do you have the motor in, but just not wired up? The z6 dizzy will not work with the y7 wire harness unless you re-pin the harness(es), or buy a conversion harness (OBD1 dizzy to OBD2 wire harness). Something like this:

Sorry, dizzy=distributor. I was lazy and didnt feel like typing it all out.

Are you asking if a b16 head from a SI will fit on your y7 block? If so, it will not work.

Yea, but the p28 (z6) would be better. You would need a OBD1-OBD2b ECU conversion harness.
