i'm just sitting here thinking.. my d16y7 just plain sucks and it starting to smoke just alittle ...should i just tear it down and turbo it or swap it out for a b16a. OR option three sell it for a hatch and start over

 

depends on how much money you got and what your goals are. i love my b16a2 and im glad i swapped the d series out. i am going to be putting a turbo on it this winter and its just gonna be amazing when it pulls. i would have to go with the b16a2 swap with a turbo.

 

How about this. Swap, build, and turbo. Now that would be awsome. But it would take some cash. It's like aryiman said it's all about your goals and money.

 

i decided on the k20 swap.....i orderd the hybrid header this morning. still take some time thou, mabe by next summer i'll have it done

 

"what up everyone" I HAVE A 98 CIVIC LX WHICH WAS A ((AUTO))...I DID A B16A 5SPD CONVERSION... EVERYTHING IS IN AND PRETTY MUCH COMPLETE. THE QUESTION IS ABOUT THE WIRING HARNESS. CAN I USE THE STOCK ONE OR A EX VTEC HARNESS??? ANY SUGGESTIONS?

 

you will have to get the b series harness for the ecu, but you can wire up the distrubutor and other things with your d series harness. thats what is done on mine.
