Default 2003 Civic Lx to Vtech

Ok so right now im driving a 2003 honda civic lx ok it was givin to me. So pretty much what i was wondering is there anyway i can take a 2001-2003 Civic Ex vtech head and transfer it over to my car to maybe get a little more power? I would do a K20 but thats a lil out of my price range.

i own a 03 civic lx myself... that will not work... im not sure on other mot motor but on the dseries the vtec assemply is attached to both block and head... and if you do the swap you will need the vtec PCM and harness.. i swapped my whole motor to an d17a2 vtec... a d17a2 is completely different from the d17a1... your better off saving the money and putting an d16 motor in there... and just a future notice check your alternator bolts, they will break and if they do, it will overcharge and fry your PCM.. i just got out of that and im now 1200$ in the hole...
