Here it is its a great watch

RE: B16A2 @ 10.000rpm
why would you need to regear your trans? i would only put an LS 5th gear in it if you plan on goin really fast and have a final gear to do long high way pulls.
but becides that.. my friends turbo civic ran out to 9K daily at 20 psi on the street on 93 octane.. theres no reason to regear it

boosting means using a "big" turbo cause you dont want the it to "die" when the v-tec kicks in.using a big turbo in a b16(1600cc) means that the engine will have no power at very low rpm(untill the turbo starts spooling fast)
as a N/A engine, i ve heard cases close to 220hp, with some very costly mods..praticaly you change half the engine's internals with aftermarket ones to get there.but 200hp N/A, is not impossible, and definately not stupid. Boosted engines are a pain in the @ss, especially in a very warm climate country like Greece.
and another thing..what does the tranny have to do with revin high the engine?never heard of that before

2.you will still have power in a turbo'd b16 at low rpms, it's standard physics and is universal to all turbo'd cars, you always have to wait for boost to build.
3. boosted motors aren't a pain in the @ss if you have the common knowledge to know how to build a setup for the right conditions.
4. for a car to gain performance, the three basic things you need are: power, suspension, and GEARING. if you're gaining a substantial amount of power to any car, it's a good idea to regear the tranny in order to take advantage of the new power.

yea jsut replace the *** with honda-t.e.c.h. minus the periods lol. or go to google and type in "omniman 200whp dvd honda" and itll be the first result.
As for the Trans I don't remember why they regeared it, Im gonna have to watch the DVD again tommorow to find out.

RE: B16A2 @ 10.000rpm
B16 gearing rules. The only thing I might change is the final drive, either higher for NA or lower (LS) for boost.
I don't have much to say other than 220 is thought to be possible NA on a B16, but that is about the ceiling. And it would require changing all the internals and externals, not just half.
The reason why few take B16s NA is because B18s/B20s do so much better. 200whp is relatively cheap on a LS/VTEC.
As for boosting, they boost great. That's the only thing I'd do with a B16. Drop some ITR cams/valvetrain in it and they'll carry torque to 8k+ rpm.
