what is your budget right now anyway?? how much you planning on droppin in your motor? if you got nothing but time i would start piecing everything from the bottom end to the top and then the turbo, deciding what trim and what type, ebay you can get the intercooler they are all the same crap. Also piping, bov, p28 ecu chipped, down pipe etc.

First thing I am not going back and quoting those I am going to reply to.

bcivic, I have driven more turbo cars than you have ever seen, I helped build and tune a boosted car the likes you more than likely will never see. I am not against turbo's. In fact I am all for turbo's. But you say "oh it's just a 30-40hp upgrade" It's not the hp, it's the 50ft lbs of tq you gain with the swap.

And to who ever said that the H is a K series killer.........no. It's not that good.

Remember, its not an arguement between which motor is better stock, its weather he should turbo his b16 or get a stock h22.

So 4 grand is your budget?

B16 you could do a better build than you have, turbo it, get it tuned etc. and be throwing down what like???? 230WHP?? and like 160WTQ?

Or spend all the money on the h22 and the little left over on making it fit and maybe a bolt on or two.....

I personally, not because of the motor i have, would go with the turbo b16. Better on highway, dont have to worry about fitting the tranny, ALREADY SWAPPED!!, and who doesnt want a turbo? Plus the numbers you would get would be better on the b16 turbo than a bolt on h22.

If you want to go N/A though, get rid of that b16, they ****ty n/a. The only reason i say b16 is cus you plan to turbo it.

your numbers and dollar figures are WAY off. If it takes you $4,000 to build a b16 turbo kit, then you're a bad shopper. And if it takes you $4,000 to swap in a used h22, then again, you're a bad shopper. I can produce a lot more than 230whp in a b16 with 4 grand. and you also have to consider power and torque curves, it's not all about peak power all the time.

Depends on which kit you get, lol, one breaks the bank, and the other one almost does the same. But at least he already has the b16 tranny.

i would stick with your B16, i have the same motor and i LOVE it, i have not had any personal experince with an h22 but my friend owns a car shop and has put in a few and says they are nightmares to install and long-term maintain in a civic, the b series is practically the best i nmy opinion, just stick with what you have its awsome with some time and paitence!
