Default b18 Swap

Ok so yes im sick and tired of my 99 dx's 1.6l. Now I was looking around and everyone here is telling me to go for the full engine and tranny swap of a b18. Looks like its a DOHC 1.6L vtec with around 160 HP. Im wondering if that is possible?

And here is the one I found on ebay is it good and will i need more than this?

No. That will not work as it is OBD0. You want something at least OBD1. lol at 40K/30 day warranty....there's no way you'll hit that 40K before 30 days is up. Unless your crazy and you drive all day everyday.

A b16 is a B series 1.6L
A b18 is a B series 1.8L

Hopefully you understand that the number after the letter is the size of the motor. H22 = H series 2.2L.

All those engine codes are in that Ebay auction don't mean anything, they are just keywords that many people would possibly search by. It's like the "JDM" headlights and tail lights all over Ebay... apparently ALL headlights/tails are "JDM"....according to the sellers.

Do a little more research on the motors....you could swap almost anything into your car. IMO, I would go with a b18c1, or h22a4, whatever is better priced.

B16's have 160hp, but not much more torque than your D16 has currently.
B18b1's have something like 140hp, but 127 torque.
B18c1 (gsr - my favorite) has 170hp/128 torque

If you are 100% sure you want to go b series, check out this for specs.

If you bought the same thing, but in OBD1 or OBD2, you'll also need axles, shift linkage, and mounts. Remember, little things add up. I would suggest to replace the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, and spark wires before installing. You would also need coolant, trans fluid, oil.

Would the Gsr motor b18c1 easily fit in my engine bay and what extra work other than the engine and tranny would i need?
