I can't afford to build my engine right now. I am probably going to throw in some gsr cams. Maybe a block guard if it doesn't cost me too much. . . . .

I've heard very bad things about block guards on this forum. Anyway, i agree with Pete. Build the bottom end, yea it costs more. But here is what i'm thinking, it is alot easier to take the head off than it is to take the block out. So even if it costs you more, save up and wait until you can build the motor or build the motor yourself. Then when you get some more money, you can take the head off and have it built and put the head back on. Then when you boost it, you can turn the boost way up.

exactly. if you wanna run decent boost, then you should stick with building the bottom end first. like agentofdarkness said...its a whole hell of a lot easier to pull the head off and work on it than it is to pull the block out of the car, strip it, and ship it off to get it bored and sleeved.
