CAMSHAFT replacement

CAMSHAFT replacement
I bought my k20 from a junkyard and am going to rebuild it from the ground up. I see so many different camshafts on the market and the stages they have. If I wanted to go with stage 3 camshafts what would that mean, and what else would I have to replace (ie crankshaft, flywheel)? My goal is to get this puppy to 260 over 2 years. Also, what is a great brand? I know this aint cheap but quality is better anyday over quantity when it comes to motors in my opinion. So lay it on me.

I wouldn't recommend anything above stage 2 for DD. If you do end up going stage 2, I would suggest some upgraded valve springs and retainers.
Also, keep in mind when you do start adding upgrades such as these, you'll need to worry about tuning, which isn't cheap for K series.

Ok then. I know for sure to go with Stage 2 Cams and springs and retainers. what is I/H/E. I know that after those upgrades I have to tune it. The D17A1 is fine. It's great, but it doesnt give me the power I want. Plus, K20's have more parts readily available, D17A1 dont. What do I have to do on the bottom end?
