Default clicking sound

I recently heard this clicking sound in the engine. It doesnt do it all the time, just when it starts up for like 10 min and after its been running for like 45 min+. my friend said it might be a valve problem. I thought it could be a sticky lifter as well. Any ideas for a sticky lifter....like anything i can buy to fix it. I hope thats what it is cuz i dont want have to replace vlaves

I need to know more. How many miles on your car? Do you beat it up? Has it been or is it currently boosted?

Valves sort of sound like the problem but I have two other theories. One is ok and the other is bad.

It has like 110k miles, i dont beat it up, ive only raced 3 people (lost one which blows) and i shift around 3k rpms usually so i dont really beat it up. so u dont think its a lifter problem?

hey, I had the same noise out of my 00 ex, and i called the dealer and said it sounded like the valves were out of adjusment. I took it there yesterday and no more ticking noise, and it only cost an hours labor, so like $80, and i was expecting it to be more so I was pleased. Hope this helps.
