Default Compression question

Why when every one gets forged pistons for a turbo do they go with 9:1. If you got forged pistons why not go 10:1 or 11:1 and boost. Does more boost on a 9:1 equal more power than less boost on a 11:1? I assume it must but high compression plus high boost equals alot of power. And if 9:1 is better why not go 8:1 and run even more boost? Just wonder if anybody has heard of anybody trying these things.

Default RE: Compression question

Higher compression means more heat which is worse on the engine.
