yea, swap in any DOHC VTEC engine and you have true VTEC
it's overrated though and shouldn't be the only reason you do a swap

just turbo the D, it's cheaper, easier, and will be faster

Turbo is on my mind, just I would have to do a tranny swap. Unless u think I could be one of the maybe, that is maybe, 5 ppl who have a turbo'd auto civic...I mean I would have to do alot to the auto tranny just to make it last...or get a newer auto tranny that can handle it?

you'd have to build the tranny if you were gonna turbo the auto, which isn't worth it because for less money than building the tranny, you can have a 5 speed swap, a good clutch, and a lightweight flywheel.

around that, yea
it all depends on the deals you find.
i would invest in a nice clutch while you're at it for sure, and if you have the money, a lightened flywheel

i'd get everything from the junkyard if possible except the tranny (unless they can prove it's good), the clutch, and the flywheel.

this should get you started
