Default D16Y7 Need Some Help/Advice

ok i have a 1997 Honda civic and the 1st d16y7 was shot over 300kmiles on it so i got another off a kid for cheap only 150k on it this past week i got the time to rip the old motor out and when i did i started thinking about upgrading this new d16y7 and I'm in no rush to do it i already got another car i use for daily driving.
now i don't want 300hp I'm happy with keeping it low and i know from what i read that the d16y7 is a low hp motor but i wouldn't mind upgrading the internals and slapping on a turbo 6-8psi from what i read... i know its a waste but i miss the sound of my turbo wrx i had years ago and want a little toy to play with but not something that will kill me. now i hate wiring and all that bs that comes with that main reason i wanna stick with the d16y7 what would you guys suggest to get for internals that arnt $$$$$$$ but more like $$$ stuff that will last and put down a little hp and with stand a turbo.
any help/advice would be great, thank you for your time

yea i sall the mini me swap I'm looking into it as for the b16 swap doesn't that mean i would have to get a whole other wiring harness? and how much does a b16 run about ? i kinda figured if i did a mini me swap off ebay its around 600 bucks just for that alone. i don't know much about Honda and how the tranny's work as far a switching them around would the stock one work on a b16?
