DOHC head swap

Default DOHC head swap

I have an 89 civ and an 87 integra...was going to do a ZC swap but wanted to know if I can just swap heads...I want to take the 1.6 DOHC head and put it on the 1.5 block...can do? or not...any help would be appreciated

im pretty sure with the ZC ud be better off doing a full swap. the ZC is a LOT cheaper than a B series..so doing a simple head swap wont save that much money.

Not sure about the ZC cause I belive it is pretty much a single cam block anyway just with 2 cams but normaly you cant and if you could you wouldnt want to because the internals are far too weak in a single cam to handle the dual cam head

dual cam VTEC, right? yeah, a sohc block wouldnt like revving to 8500 very many times if its stock.[&:]

yeah, i was just pointing out that even IF a dohc vtec head onto a sohc block would work, the motor would eat itself rather quickly. i saw someone put a b16 head on a prelude b20. yeah, it was a horrible idea. the block was only good to around 7k, and it was only held on by like 4 head studs.
