Default Is this engine good for boost?

I wanna boost whatever engine I swap in.....I've been looking into the B18C1 but this was $800 less. Is this thing pretty much boost ready?

Generally the B16's are not ideal for boost as they have a higher compression ratio. Look for a GSR or a LS(B18B) swap.

there are 4 boosted si's in town here all of them are the stock CR and they love 10 psi all day long. even with the stock internals they can handle 300hp and 280tq.

That's about right for the hp @ 10 psi on a stock block, but you'd need at least a 400+ hp motor to make 280 ft/lbs of torque out of a b16. At 300 hp, 200-225 ft/lbs would be more accurate for the torque.
