fuel filter cleaning vs new

Default fuel filter cleaning vs new

My car has 135k on it and to my knowledge its the original fuel filter.

is there any disadvantage to cleaning it as opposed to buying a whole new one?

also, what kind of cleaner would I need? and does the "GumOut all-in-one fuel system cleaner" clean the filter?

dont try to clean it, just buy a new one.

it dont take long to change and its not to expensive. im a total n00b and i can change the fuel filter haha
