i guess i just don't understand.

here's my viewpoint:
this is the car game. it takes money to participate, and if you're not willing to spend money then you've found the wrong hobby.

to me, a civic is a nice enough car to be worth spending money on to modify it.

if it's just a civic, and you feel the way about it that you imply, why do you modify it at all?

and no, i don't cheap out. I spend as little money as possible but I do not sacrifice quality. research before you buy something, that's how to shop.

ok well i dont want to get in a big argument but the "car game" as you call it isnt just for balling putting the best parts on their cars.....i mean there is an entire genre of cars that did small mods and didnt even bother with paint...idk if you have heard of rat rods....but its not about how much money you put in or even if other people like it....its if you like your own car and showing your personality thru your car.....if every body did high end parts the the "car game" would be pretty f@#$ing boring cause we would all run the same e.t's look the same at car shows and so on......

now back on subject....when parts say that horsepower its rare to get that same hp gain...also all your parts individually say they add hp....but a manifold on a stock motor may say it adds 5 hp....but when you put a header on you lose 3 hp...so some of it comes down to how the parts work together. but i would say if the motor is 106hp stock...which thats at the crank not at the wheels...which is probably close to 90hp...you might be at 110 at the wheels at best...making it around 135 or so at the crank.

you need to take a chill pill. i would apologize to you for not getting answer, but i wont. because there is an infinite amount of space out there, and the fact that you got your feelings hurt that i took up a couple inches more then was needed due to lack of forum experience..lol give a noob a break

okay n.e way... i did a little research and the specs for my engine is like 106 hp at stock. and the parts that i bought advertise certain performance increases and thats what i was adding. i understand that they prob high ball them amounts but give me a sec and i'll get them
yes 106hp stock. I don't know the exact WHP, what you actually get while driving, but I took 15% off. That puts you at 90.1WHP and that's probably being a tad generous.

http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/t..._ex/index.html

Then I took factual dyno results from this site and compared them to your car. I also took into consideration that the dyno results were on a engine that put out about 20WHP more than yours, so the gains you see on your car won't be as high as the one's in the article.

so instead of 3HP from the intake(secret weapon actually is one of the best intakes at sucking out the most juice that engine can put out), I guess 2HP for yours.

And I just went along with the rest. The 106WHP engine basically got 13HP from I/H/E.

You added a high flow cat and a new intake manifold. High flow cat is nearly as good as a test pipe would be for that setup, my guess around 2HP and the intake probably 5HP.

your setup would get less than 13HP from I/H/E.

No way do you increase your power by 50% from bolt-ons.
